THIS IS OUR STORY!
IDEAS to RECLAIM
Over the past 25+ years, IDEAS has worked in over 13 countries in Asia, North Africa, the Middle East, and Central & South America. In 2023, our leadership recognized that our name does not fully capture the story of our work in holistic community development. In 2025, we changed our name to Reclaim with the tagline Dignity + Hope + Life.
A name isn’t everything, but it is something
What’s in a name?
Our mission, vision, and core values remain unchanged. We are committed to helping individuals and communities flourish by removing obstacles to dignity through holistic community development. The name “Reclaim” and our tagline “Dignity + Hope + Life” gives us the opportunity to tell our story, honor those we work alongside, ignite curiosity, and demonstrate how faith can inspire transformation.

Faith Our Foundation
Let’s start at the beginning
God’s original intent for humanity
Humans were created for life-giving relationships with God, one another, and the world we live in, defined by love, mercy, justice, self-sacrifice, and compassion.
Living in a broken world
Broken systems + Broken relationships
We turned away from this design to pursue personal gain, power, control, and the elevation of self above others, resulting in broken systems and broken relationships.
Waiting for restoration
Promise of a hopeful future.
Our faith gives us hope that someday God will reestablish a world where people will once again live together in peace.
We are compassionate professionals bringing needed expertise
Community development + agriculture
IDEAS community development serves as the foundation for all our work. We start by listening. Our associates partner with local people to identify needs and provide expertise that benefits the whole community. In Agriculture, we work alongside local farmers to maximize resources and increase yields — creating more sustainable food supplies for the local community.

Stories of Transformation
Alma was born in Guatemala with a disability called spina bifida. Unable to walk, she spent the first 14 years of her life isolated, locked in a room, confined to a bed or the floor. Her mother said she was a mistake. Her father said she was not his daughter. Alma wanted to go to school and have friends, but her disability made that impossible.
