Program Description

Bring your Nursing and Education skills and passion to India!

IDEAS partners with a hospital and school with a vision to liberate the poor, to heal the brokenhearted, to care for orphans and widows, to empower youth and women, and to reach the hardest and darkest sections of India's society with love and light.

India is one of the most difficult countries for children to grow up in, especially if they’re born into poverty. With a large population living well below the poverty line, most children grow up without basics such as housing, sufficient food, and education. Child labor, child trafficking, commercial sexual exploitation, and many other forms of violence and abuse are commonplace. Millions of children do not have privilege to go to school due to extreme poverty.

Our partnering organization provides healthcare and education to the hundreds of vulnerable children of India.

The hospital is seeking Nurse Educators to increase the capacity of the nursing staff’s effectiveness and professionalism, complementing the hospital’s development. Nurse Educators will also help alleviate the lack of professional nursing staff in in India, while ensuring the continuity of care given to the those in need. This includes demonstrating God’s transformative love and care to both the local staff and students, while increasing their professional knowledge and confidence in providing excellent service, safeguarding, and improving the health of their patients
